At Center For Sight, our Facial Cosmetic Surgery team is headed by John P. Fezza, M.D., an Oculo-Facial Plastic surgeon who specializes in facial cosmetic surgery. Dr. Fezza’s goal is to help you achieve a healthy and natural appearance, giving your face a more youthful look.

During a private, personal consultation, Dr. Fezza will address your goals and concerns, including reducing the appearance of facial wrinkles, eliminating a double chin and alleviating puffiness or bags around the eyes. He will discuss your expectations and provide you with a variety of treatment options including many non-surgical options for facial rejuvenation, which require little or no downtime. At Center For Sight, all cosmetic procedures are performed in our state-of-the-art AAAHC-accredited surgery center with our licensed certified registered nurse anesthetists on-site during all procedures.

Surgical Procedures

Deep Plane Facelift

A facelift, or rhytidectomy, will provide you with an overall lift to the lower one-third of your face, tightening loose muscles and reducing redundant skin and fat in the jowls, neck area and jaw line. A facelift provides a cleaner appearance of the lower face by creating a sharper angle between the jaw and neck. Dr. Fezza often performs a neck lift, or platysmaplasty, in combination with the deep plane facelift procedure to improve neck bands. Dr. Fezza’s specialized technique developed over 30 years will achieve a natural and well rested result.

The entire procedure takes about two and half hours and the incisions are hidden in natural creases around the ears and in the hairline. Recovery takes around 3 weeks and then most people feel comfortable going out again. Most people find that their face feels completely “normal” in about 8 weeks. Dr. Fezza and his experienced team are dedicated to guiding you through your recovery period.

Full Face Laser Resurfacing

Laser skin resurfacing uses a CO2 laser to reduce facial wrinkles and sun damaged skin. It can also remove age spots and superficial skin pigmentation. The laser’s first pass removes the old skin. The laser causes the collagen and elastic tissue in the underlying layers of the skin to tighten, resulting in smoother, healthier and younger looking skin.

After the procedure your face will be red and sensitive but will gradually fade to pink and resolve. Normally, the pink color can be camouflaged with make-up after ten days. The final result is a refreshed, youthful skin with less wrinkles and spots.
